PRE-ADAMIC CREATION ?

I overheard a conversation on the possibility of a pre-Adamic creation.  In my view there is no need to invoke a pre-Adamic creation. The Scripture is clear that God created in six days. Consider also the pattern God used for the creation.

 

Pre-Adamic creation attempts to explain the origin of ancient dinosaur bones when strange creatures roamed the Earth during a presumed very long time-interval between Genesis 1:1 and 1:2, known as the 'Gap Theory', https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gap_creationism . It is also an attempt by some Christians to reconcile with mainstream evolutionary scientists. However, the Bible denies this misconception.

 

CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:

 

  • The Bible clearly claims several times that the Lord God made the heavens and the Earth in six “DAYS”, and everything that is in it, and rested on the 7th DAY.

  • All the great beasts were made on the 6th “DAY”. After the Lord made the beasts God made Adam out of the dust of the Earth. Then, towards the end of the 6th “DAY”, He fashioned Eve out of Adam’s rib to indicate that the woman was made for the man – a picture of Christ and His bride.

  • Adam and Eve were the first humans. The Bible is clear about that. Following their fall into sin Adam and Eve had many sons and daughters who intermarried and populated the Earth (Genesis 5:4). Their DNA was near perfect, at this stage in history, but began to accumulate mutations following the Fall.

  • The woman was only known as woman in the Garden of Eden. She became known as Eve after the Fall. Adam prophetically called her Eve because she became the mother of all living (Genesis 3:20).

  • When Job finally became frustrated with his condition he wished he would have never been born (Job 3:3). This was sin in God's eyes. Job and his three godly friends began to talk a lot of non-sense to reason out why so much misfortune had befallen Job. Job attempted to defend his sinless state.

  • God then stepped in and challenged Job: ‘And Jehovah answered Job out of the tempest, and said, who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge? Now gird up your loins like a man for I will ask of you, and you teach Me. Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell if you have understanding’ (Job 38:1-4).

  • God became indignant and asked, paraphrasing, if you are afraid to hunt My mighty beasts, Behemoth and Leviathan, then why are you not afraid of Me? Job was obviously familiar with these powerful beasts.

  • Now Behemoth was a mighty beast of river shallows. Strong’s Concordance and the Amplified Bible suggest a hippopotamus. But far be it from that. For it had a tail as big as a cedar tree. Hippos have a tail a foot long at the very most. Neither was it a crocodile, although they were enormous so that a man could stand in its gaping mouth, because this reptile ate grass like an ox. The Hebrew for crocodile is very specific! The description of Behemoth fits the huge herbivorous dinosaurs. God knew that Job was familiar with them.

  • Ditto for Leviathan, an armour-plated water dwelling monster that breathed fire like the little bombardier beetle does today. God laughs at Job. Would you dare go against him with a spear, God asks? How come then that you are not afraid to challenge Me? God put Job in his place and belittled him. Then God chides Job further by showing him how little he knew about the workings of the natural world.

  • Intact blood vessels and tissue fragments have been discovered in dinosaur bones. Although DNA can be extremely robust over time soft tissues are not. Shocked evolutionists had to find a way out because dinosaurs were supposed to have become extinct 65 million years ago. Consequently, scientists, who wish to deny the Bible, recently devised that it’s the iron content of the soft tissues that preserved them (https://www.livescience.com/41537-t-rex-soft-tissue.html). Iron is so abundant on the earth’s surface which begs the question why many more specimens of ancient soft tissues in iron-rich deposits have not been found.

  • Young pairs of dinosaurs were on the ark. Alexander’s army killed one hiding in a cave. Old German and Scottish reports claim the last fire-breathing remnants of reptiles were killed about 500-600 years ago. (The Bible and Science, J Harvey and CK Pallaghy, 1984). This class of reptile exhaled toxic fumes, probably like the miniature amazing defence system of modern bombardier beetles, of boiling caustic vapours that simultaneously give a loud pop - See 'The Bombardier Beetle And Its Crazy Chemical Cannon' on YouTube:

  • You will notice in this video how the author attempts to explain how this beetle could have evolved. It's all guess work as is also true of pre-Adamic creation.

  • Have you considered why it may have been that the Earth may become “marred or void” during the creation when everything that God made was good? (According to some Christians, the Hebrew word "was" is more accurately translated "became" which is why some propose the Gap Theory). As I explain in my introduction, God showed me that that was due to all the submarine tectonic and volcanic upheavals that God initiated. The earth below the surface of the water was in great turmoil. All the molten rocks were to eventually become land masses with viable soil for God to plant the first seeds on "DAY" three.

  • God gave me visions that He brought forth the Earth like a woman giving birth – writhing and messy – it was all part of a process just like He is changing us from glory to glory too. He still uses processes today. Often they are messy and painful. We prefer to harbour a rosy picture that the creation was peaceful and calm like a bedtime story for children.

  • By definition, a process takes time. Why did Adam live to be 930 years old when God told Adam that he would surely die within the same day that he ate of the fruit of the tree? God’s prophecy had a double reference – both a spiritual and physical consequence. There is a perfectly valid explanation.

  • We must not spiritualize the physical facts although a spiritual application is true as well. God told Adam that he would die and die he did literally according to what the apostle Peter warned the church not to forget in 2 Peter 3:8. Adam was going to die within one of God’s days. That was to be true for all the patriarchs. None of them reached one of God’s 'DAYS' of 1000 years on Earth.

  • Many are aware of Einstein’s concepts of general relativity. Experiments with atomic clocks have demonstrated that time runs slower at low altitudes that have higher gravity. The less gravity the faster time passes. Space craft must be adjusted for time differences. It’s just a little hint God has given that His time scale in heaven is different to ours.   • Nothing in the WHOLE word of God even suggests that there was sin and death before the Fall of Adam and Eve. Animals have souls. They die because of the sin of man.

  • 'Therefore, even as through one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed on all men inasmuch as all sinned: for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. But death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned in the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is the type of Him who was to come'(Romans 5:12-14).

  • Whenever Israel sinned God caused man, trees, vegetation and beasts to languish and perish in huge numbers. God killed the first beast when He gave Adam and Eve skins to cover them from the environment He had cursed. The law of tooth and claw came into effect because of sin.

  • Pre-Adamic creation is an invention of the human spirit to cover our lack of understanding.
