FALSE TEACHING ON ANGELIC HYBRIDS BY PERRY STONE

I strongly protest against the false teachings in Perry Stone’s YouTube series, on giants and angelic theology (‘The Mystery of Giants’ parts 1-4). I shall address the matter in step-wise fashion. Please bear with me:

INTRODUCTION

There are combinations of factors in a Christian leader that can corrupt an organization. They are a respectable Christian heritage, a powerful anointing followed by great popularity, command over wealth, excessive trading of merchandise, in the name of God (Matthew 21:12-13) and persuasiveness. King Solomon serves as my prime example followed closely by King Saul. Despite their wonderful beginnings both of these anointed men failed God miserably in the end. In the case of King Saul, the first king of Israel, the prophet Samuel warned the people of the consequences beforehand when they demanded a king for themselves instead of prophets and judges (1 Samuel 8:10-18). None of these failings can be levelled at other wealthy biblical characters such as Joseph, Job, King David and Queen Esther even though they also fell into temptations. Do we have such people today? If so, can they be turned around? I don’t know. One would hope so.

I was attracted to the YouTube presentations by the immensely popular Perry Stone. My spirit was disturbed by a number of things he said about end-times and his strong belief that fallen angels fathered hybrid children which became the giants of old. I continued to watch but then prayed. The only response the Lord offered at first was the number 6 and for me to read the book of Habakkuk.

But in Habakkuk there is no Chapter 6 nor did any of the 6th verses make sense. Did I imagine it all? But no; Habakkuk and the number 6 kept returning to my mind time and time again.  I read Habakkuk a second time but still got nothing out of it. On reading Habakkuk more carefully a third time some verses stood out and I said “no, surely not” but there was no getting away from them,

"Woe to him who covets evil gain for his house that he may set his nest on high that he may be delivered from the power of disaster! You give shameful counsel to your house cutting off many peoples and sin against your soul. For the stone will cry out from the wall and the beam from the timbers will answer it” (Habakkuk 2:9-11).

That genetically related warlike men, of much greater than average height, existed in the vicinity of Canaan is not in dispute, but Perry Stone’s view that they were the hybrid children of fallen angels disturbed me enormously. When Perry proposed that this was the mechanism by which evil spirits, in contrast to fallen angels, were constrained to roam the earth it disturbed me even more because it is clear from 1 Kings (22:22-23) and 1 Chronicles (18:21-22) that evil spirits have access to both heaven and earth without having to first impregnate women. While his beliefs seemed plausible at first I wondered whether God would not have an explanation of His own.

Even though the Holy Spirit rang my ‘alarm bells’ I decided to do nothing; to not touch the Lord’s anointed. But my mind consistently returned to Habakkuk and the number 6. In Bible code 6 is the number of man. As King Solomon gained power he became associated with the numbers 13, 6 and 666 because of his fabulous wealth (1 Kings 7:6; 2 Chronicles 9:13), and because he built shrines to the gods of his foreign ‘wives’ to please them (1 Kings 11:1-8). He did this despite God’s previous warnings not to marry foreign women. They stole his heart away from God. Solomon even became harsh to his subjects (2 Chronicles 10:11). The combination of 13 and 6 spells ‘sinful man’. I am therefore convinced that Perry’s teachings on giants are the work of a man which might lead to serious consequences.

 

ENORMOUS GENETIC DIVERSITY EVIDENT IN  ANIMAL FOSSILS

Nature and the Bible contain many mysteries beyond our understanding but they are real nonetheless. Why, for instance, were many ancient animals 2-3 times bigger, or even more, than their modern counterparts? Furthermore, the huge fossils appear rather suddenly in the fossil record and then, according to geologists, disappear almost entirely. Wouldn’t one expect the order to have been the other way around; small specimens first and then gradually becoming bigger and bigger over time? Should parts of the geologic column be true then animals seem to have devolved rather than evolved. Below is the fossil of an ancient dragonfly (Wikipedia creative commons) and what a pair of them would have looked like bothering a person.

​I don't think this guy would have been smiling (photo composed from photos provided by Pexel.com). Dragonflies have powerful jaws occasionally biting horses and will nip your finger to the blood if you handle them. Meganeura had a frightening wing span of 2 foot 4 inches (70 cm) whereas the largest modern individuals have wing spans only up to 7.5 inches (19 cm). Australian fossils had somewhat shorter wing spans than Meganeura, but had thicker larger bodies. Ancient sharks were as long as 19.5m, more than double size of the largest white shark at 8m. A white shark is scary enough and is capable of attacking and sinking boats. What could a 19.5m monster have done? Imagine an 11.6m crocodile (Sarchosuchus imperator) when our largest saltwater crocodile has a body length of only 6.2m. In the Northern Territory, Australia, crocodiles have been known to jump into a boat and take a person in its jaws. They have become more brazen lately. Extinct marine scorpions, the largest arthropods that have ever lived, had a body length of 2.4m. The nearest relative of the same kind, a terrestrial scorpio (photo Wikipedia creative commons), measures only 20.5cm today.

​The largest fossil sea shell (Wikipedia creative commons), an ammonite that apparently looked like a flattened snail, had air chambers and is on display in the Natural Museum of Műnster. It is 1.8 m in diameter whereas the largest shell of a living snail, at a length of 0.9m, is that of the sea snail, the Australian Trumpeter.

​The largest Komodo dragon (Megalania, a lizard), unearthed in Australia, was 4.9m long as compared to the record of 3m attained by the aggressive Indonesian Komodo dragon. What about the huge dinosaurs. Where did they come from? Note the tiny man in blue on the bottom left! (Photos: Wikipedia creative commons).

​Legends about dinosaurs and dragons abound throughout history such as the killing of a dragon by St. George (about 300 AD) and Alexander the Great’s army fearing a huge hissing beast in a cave (about 300 BC). Despite Chinese writings reporting the existence of massive bones already 2000 years ago anyone who had seen cave drawings of mythical creatures thought that they were works of fiction. Then in 1676 Rev Plot, curator of an English museum, discovered what he thought was an enormously large human thigh bone but now only drawings of it remain. The first scientifically recognized fossil of a meat-eating dinosaur (Megalosaurus) was discovered only in 1824 in Oxfordshire in England by the Rev William Buckland. The array of huge Chinese dinosaur fossils is, of course, world famous now. It was their skulls and fierce appearance that inspired the decorations on ancient Chinese temples.

On the average many ancient animals were therefore 2-3 times greater in size than their modern counterparts. So why can’t the same apply to ancient humans? I shall reveal to you why we don’t see them today. But, in the meantime, let’s look at more familiar examples of the huge range in size possible through genetic variation in animals.

​

Modern dogs belong to the same species (Canis familiaris) which means that they can ostensibly interbreed either naturally or by artificial insemination. Domestic dogs, including the endemic Australian dingo, were derived by breeding from original dog/wolf-like creatures millennia ago (which I believe walked off Noah’s Ark). Yet we have the smallest chihuahua with a paw-to-back height of 15cm and giant dogs like the blue Great Dane, in Arizona, at 110cm. The same can be said of the vastly different appearances in pigeon varieties that could be bred quickly in the days of Charles Darwin. Darwin knew all about breeding and artificial selection for domestic purposes. Natural selection, explained on this site, stared him in his face before he even left England for his celebrated 5-year Galapagos trip.

Why couldn’t variations in human DNA have also produced the large men both before and after the Flood, as the Bible claims in Genesis 6:4?

​

“There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown”.

​

At the time of the Flood the gene pool of mankind and of all species/kinds became impoverished because of all the DNA species that were lost. However, some residual traits must have been carried through to Noah’s sons and their wives because giants began to arise locally in the times of Abraham and Moses in the districts surrounding the Promised Land; not all that far from where the Ark had landed on Mount Ararat. Because the giants were aggressive and ungodly King David and his men killed them all off with God’s help. None of their DNA remains. Thus David impoverished the gene pool of mankind a second time because all of the giants were aggressive against God’s people. Aggressiveness and size may have been genetically linked – so good riddance – the same goes for the huge dinosaurs despite the adventures in films such as Jurassic Park. That does not mean that aggressive behaviour has been absolutely removed from DNA.

​

Why these giants surfaced near the Promised Land and not elsewhere after the Flood is a mystery that only God can answer. We could ask a similar question why koalas and platypuses are only endemic to Australia when there would have been a land bridge to the rest of the world before the days of Peleg (Genesis 10:25; 1 Chronicles 1:19). Needless to say, God can place animals and people wherever He wants them. Noah did not even have to collect species to put on the Ark. God commanded suitable (young) pairs to go to the Ark on their own (Genesis 6:20). Noah only had to have an open door and food supplies. We could ask lots of questions of God couldn’t we? Science doesn’t know any of the answers either.

​

Human fossils are rare because people could more readily avoid sudden burial in water laid sediments, the layers in which fossils are found. Perhaps one day God will allow us to find a fossil bone from a biblical giant. A set of large human footprints crossing dinosaur footprints was found in a sedimentary layer freshly exposed by a bulldozer on the Paluxy River bed in Texas by trustworthy men (eye witness account by Dr Clifford Wilson, Australia’s most respected biblical archaeologist and a personal friend, now deceased). He told me that invited university geologists refused to come and have a look until several months later when the river had eroded the clear definition of the prints. Nor did they believe the photographs shown and claimed the finds to be lies. Dr. Wilson told me that Australian creationists from Answers in Genesis, in Queensland, were equally to blame. They at first highlighted the finds but then withdrew their support fearing that their scientific respectability would be tarnished. Furthermore, they discredited Dr. Wilson to his everlasting consternation till the day he passed away.

 

However, be that as it may, according to Scripture Job had met at least two huge frightening reptiles in his life time (Job Chapters 40-41) which Answers in Genesis does not dispute because it’s in the Bible. Behemoth had a tail like a cedar tree. He was no mere hippopotamus as the Amplified Bible suggests. He moved his tail like a cedar tree (King James Version with Strong’s Hebrew numbers). Just look at a hippo’s tail in this photo! These chapters in Job make it abundantly clear that Job knew exactly what God was talking about. Do we actually believe the authenticity of the inspired Bible?

​

In contrast, evangelist Perry Stone believes that the only possible explanation to the ‘giants problem’ is that they were the hybrid product of sex-driven fallen angels who were attracted to women of normal size. His four-part YouTube series has been favourably rated by Christian audiences. I was tempted to believe his proposal myself until the Lord revealed two things to me, the book of Habakkuk and the number 6, as I explained earlier.

​

If Goliath had massively gigantic proportions, as portrayed in Part 1 of his series, Perry, having put emphasis  on the larger estimate of the cubit measure, the Lord would have never given Goliath’s sword to King David for personal use (1 Samuel 21:9; 22:10). It would have been too heavy and unwieldy for him.

​

It seems to me that Perry Stone’s approach is to engineer in the subconscious mind of viewers the impossibility that the giants might have arisen through remnant gigantism-DNA sequences. My feeling is that Noah’s son Ham and his wife carried these remnant genes. Noah actually prophesied a curse upon Ham and his son Canaan (Genesis 9:18-25). Ham was the father of Canaan, the land whose inhabitants Moses and Joshua were commanded to wipe out about 800 years later because of their extreme idolatry and abominable practices that included temple prostitution and child sacrifices. I consider this a possibility because we can see from Genesis 3:17-18 that one might expect some genetic repercussions when sin abounds:

“’Then to Adam He said, "because you have heeded the voice of your wife and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': "Cursed is the ground for your sake; in toil you shall eat of it all the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you…”’ (Genesis 3:17-18). Gene sequences coding for spines and thorns had obviously been in a silent state before the Fall but were now allowed to express themselves.

 

BIBLICAL GIANTS

Giants, such as Goliath and Og, the king of Bashan, were genetically related to other giants named in the Bible. I highly recommend a 2012 article, “Giants in the Bible” by Tim Chaffey in, Answers in Genesis, for a list of the giants and the extra biblical material given.

In the scriptures the giants are associated with the number 6, the number of man, such as having 6 fingers and 6 toes.  The number of the Anti-Christ is 666 designating the trinity of fullness of power of the flesh pitted against Christ and His people.

 

The only physically powerful man on God’s side was Samson. He is associated with the number 7 but His strength was entirely dependent on the presence of the Holy Spirit; he had 7 locks of hair for example. The number 7 occurs 7 times in the account of Samson, in the book of Judges. Seven is the number of perfection or fullness associated with the Holy Spirit (Revelation 4:5) which is relevant to end-times and the book of Revelation (the book of 7’s). Consider the following Scriptures.

​“And a champion went out from the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, from Gath whose height was six cubits and a span. He had a bronze helmet on his head and he was armed with a coat of mail, and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of bronze. And he had bronze armour on his legs and a bronze javelin between his shoulders. Now the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam and his iron spearhead weighed six hundred shekels, and a shield-bearer went before him” (1 Samuel 17:4-7).

“Yet again there was war at Gath, where there was a man of great stature who had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot, twenty-four in number; and he also was born to the giant. So, when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea, David's brother, killed him. These four were born to the giant in Gath, and fell by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants” (2 Samuel 21:20-22).

“Now it happened afterward that war broke out at Gezer with the Philistines, at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite killed Sippai who was one of the sons of the giant. And they were subdued. Again there was war with the Philistines and Elhanan the son of Jair killed Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the shaft of whose spear was like a weaver's beam. Yet again there was war at Gath where there was a man of great stature, with twenty-four fingers and toes, six on each hand and six on each foot, and he also was born to the giant. So when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea, David's brother, killed him. These were born to the giant in Gath and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants” (1 Chronicles 20:4-8).

As the scriptures clearly indicate these giants inherited their size; they represented local DNA genetic variations in the human race.  It's a puzzle why they did not come against Israel in the time of the Judges when Samson was around. Perhaps they needed to recover because Moses and Joshua had dealt with them.

​

Modern gigantism, of which there are a few well known examples, both male and female, is caused by hormonal disorders which are not heritable. Unlike the biblical giants Robert Wadlow had a father of normal height (Wikipedia public domain).

Most of today’s very tall people tend to be lanky and awkward on their feet, but we need to remember that in true gigantism of old their DNA was less corrupted than our DNA is today. Today’s DNA is highly mutated having been copied trillions of times over in sex cells introducing many deleterious genetic errors since Adam and Eve; in a similar fashion to what we would get by copying a printed page and then copying the copy, and then taking a copy of the copy, and repeating the process billions of time over and over.

 

The warlike giants in David’s time were obviously ferocious and fit for battle but were totally eliminated by King David and his men. Their particular DNA sequences causing true gigantism was therefore completely eliminated from the human gene pool. Not all modern giants were weaklings however. Massive Andre, weighing 236 kg and featured in Wikipedia, was a French professional wrestler in the 1980’s (photo Wikipedia creative commons). He stood at 2.24 m as compared to Wadlow’s 2.72 m.

  • ​Goliath

I repeat, because this is a key factor, that Goliath’s sword, which was David’s only weapon when he fled hurriedly from King Saul could not have been as huge as we might imagine. The Lord gave him the sword for protection (1 Samuel 21:8-9; 22:9-10). David was not a big man. He was shorter than King Saul, a tall man. My suggestion is that Goliath’s height in cubits was probably according to the shorter cubit used in Israel, namely 1 cubit = 18 inches (46 cm).

​

I suggest that Goliath was therefore not quite as huge as Perry Stone portrayed him in the TV series by including in the range the larger measure for a cubit. We are given Goliath’s height as 6 cubits and a span (half a cubit) which would have made him less than 3m tall using the normal cubit or 3.5m allowing for the larger cubit.

​

Perry produced a model of Goliath’s spear on stage whose dimensions are not given in scripture except for a vague description and the weight of the spear head. A model of Goliath’s supposed spear, 3.84m in length, which may or may not be true is on exhibit at the Creation Science Museum. Neither have we any idea of the dimensions of Goliath’s shield but a huge shield to impress was produced on stage in the video series.

“Now the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam and his iron spearhead weighed six hundred shekels, and a shield-bearer went before him” (1Samuel 17:7).

​

  • King Og

Og was another giant. His iron bed was 10 cubits long and four cubits wide according to the “standard cubit” (Deuteronomy 3:11). Thus, he was taller than Goliath. As king he would have had a roomy bed to accommodate a concubine. His head and feet would surely not have touched the bed heads at either end. We can reasonably assume that he was somewhere between 7.5 to 8 cubits tall, about 11-12 ft (3.4-3.7 m) tall using the shorter cubit. He was not known for any personal feats in battle. He would have been a threatening figure no doubt. Perry pointed to some footprints carved into the stone floor of a temple which may or may not be true copies of the King’s footprints.

​

As I have shown, ancient animals were on the average about 2-3 times bigger than their modern counterparts. Both Goliath and Og fit within this size range of possible DNA variation for gigantism that is evident in the fossil record for animals. If we scale up a six foot (1.8 m) man by the same ratios, 2 or 3 times, we could reasonably expect human genetic variants within a height range in the order of 3.6-5.4 m for some of the ‘mighty men of renown’ in ancient times (Genesis 6:4). The heights of Goliath and King Og fall below these estimates at 3 and 3.7 m respectively. This is true even if we use the longer measure of the cubit, 3.5-4.3 m respectively. Therefore, we do not need to necessarily invoke angelic descent on the basis of size. That is my point.

​

Why are there no remains or descendants of these giants? There were obviously not that many of them after the Flood. Those that grew up after the Flood were totally wiped out by King David and his men. They were all enemies of God as indicated by their aggression and association with the number 6. I have already made mention of Clifford Wilson’s reliable testimony about having seen giant footprints in Texas.

 

CAN FALLEN ANGELS FATHER CHILDREN?

Putting aside for the moment what the New Testament has to say about angels let’s look at the only 2 reasonable scriptures Perry uses to support his teaching,

 

“Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. And the LORD said, 'My Spirit shall not strive with man forever for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years'. There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown…… But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD” (Genesis 6:1-8).

​

To postulate the concept that angels impregnated women with seed Perry used Genesis 3:15,

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head and you shall bruise his heel” (Genesis 3:15). Perry Stone therefore claims that the sons of God in Genesis 6:4 were fallen angels who produced human/angelic hybrids. We shall look in detail at each of these propositions in turn.

 

WHO WERE THE SONS OF GOD IN GENESIS 6:4?

To set this straight we need to use both the New and Old Testaments. Both angels, whether fallen or holy, and righteous people have been referred to as ‘sons of  God’ (Job 1:6, 2:1, 38:7; Matthew 5:9; Luke 3:38, 20:36; Romans 8:19; Galatians 3:26).

​

In the Creation light was separated from darkness. When Jesus came into a (spiritually) dark world He identified Himself as the light of the world. Everybody who does not know God or separates themselves from God lives in darkness. The argument goes as follows,

  1. God only created two humans directly, Adam and Eve. They were given the mandate to procreate and multiply all over the Earth (Genesis 1:28). Eve is the progenitor of all who have ever lived (Genesis 3:20). There is no mention in the Bible that angels have the ability to reproduce either in heaven or on earth but they do have eternal existence and have extraordinary powers.

  2. God separated light from darkness, not only in the physical realm but also spiritually in the human race. Cain, who murdered his brother Abel, rebelled and in his anger departed from the presence of God (Genesis 4:5, 16). He became a son of darkness.

  3. During their extremely long lifespans Adam and Eve produced numerous children (Genesis 5:4-5). As can be true today some siblings become “black sheep”.

  4. If we truly believe God’s word then Cain was not the only sibling to rebel because Cain eventually had children through one of his rebellious sisters who had also departed from the presence of God. Their descendants became a long line of violent people before Noah’s Flood destroyed them all including descendants of the righteous line (Genesis 4:23).

  5. Seth, a righteous man, was the third born to Adam and Eve (Genesis 4:25-26). Note that Seth came along to restore the righteous line, not Cain’s.

  6. Lineage of the ‘sons of light’ and ‘the sons of darkness’ were formed in parallel. The sons of light were Abel, Seth, Enosh, Cainan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech and Noah (Genesis 5:1-31). Enoch, 7th in line, walked so perfectly with God that God took him to heaven alive (Genesis 5:24). [This is prophetic of our resurrection before the Millennium].

  7. The parallel lineage of the son of darkness was Cain, Enoch, Irad, Mehujael, Methushael, Lamech, Jabal, Jubal and Tubal-Cain before the Flood. By this time the Earth was filled with violence motivating God to destroy everybody (Genesis 6:11-13).

  8. To reinforce the truth about the two lineages, Enoch, the 7th in the godly line, is taken to heaven because he pleased God, but in the lineage of darkness the 6th, Lamech, is a self-confessed murderer. Thus the godly line is stamped with the number 7 the ungodly line with the number 6, the number of man or the number of worldliness and rebellion!

  9. Since both lines inhabited the world why would God destroy them all in a flood, with the exception of Noah and his family? Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord (Genesis 6:8).

  10. Because the godly line became corrupted through intermarriage virtually the entire godly line became corrupted when the sons of God couldn’t contain themselves and ran after the alluringly immodest and ungodly women (this is what Jesus referred to when He spoke about yeast, leaven, corrupting the whole loaf, Matthew 16:11-12). Men always made the first move. This was typical of Israel both before and after their exile in Babylon.

  11. We need to remember that God cursed the world after the Fall. We might expect that bad genes began to express themselves abundantly adding to the ungodly cocktail.

 

This is my response about the identity of the sons of God and the daughters of men (the world) in Genesis 6:4. Several times Jesus and the New Testament named the righteous as ‘sons of God’. There is more to consider.

 

INTERMARRIAGE WITH UNBELIEVERS FORBIDDEN IN ANCIENT ISRAEL

In the days of Abraham and Moses intermarriage with surrounding nations was strictly forbidden under the pain of death (Numbers 25:6-9). God does not want the sons of light to be led astray by women of the world nor vice-versa. Unfortunately, this is precisely what King Solomon did by marrying a multitude of foreign women despite his renowned wisdom. Esau, the son of Isaac and Rebekah, despised his parents and deliberately married Hittite women to spite them (Genesis 26:34). God hated Esau for other reasons too (Malachi 1:2-3; Romans 9:13).

​

This is why we are advised not to be yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14-18). The Lord is merciful nevertheless, but we should not be surprised if intermarriage with unbelievers eventually leads to a great deal of stress. Relational issues between a believer and an unbeliever can become ‘giants’ in our lives which have to be overcome if the believer chooses to walk with Christ.

 

TRUE SEED OF SATAN: WHAT SATAN CAN’T MIMIC

“So the LORD God said to the serpent: ‘Because you have done this….I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed ……"' (Genesis 3:14-16).

​

Perry Stone therefore concluded that, according to his misuse of Genesis 6:4, fallen angels possess seed with which to impregnate women. It is certainly true that devils can sow seed, but what sort of seed?

​

Firstly, angels are naked spirits without flesh, blood or bone. As Jesus said to Thomas, “Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself. Handle Me and see for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have" (Luke 24:39). They were created as ministering spirits to man (Hebrews 1:14). They cannot possibly father children. Satan has no life to give to anybody. The only seed that Satan and his hordes can sow (for there is structure in the demonic kingdoms, Revelation 9:11), are in the mind; seeds of discontent, lies and deceit. When Satan enters a heart he takes possession of a man’s mind and actions as he did with Judas who betrayed Jesus. Judas became a child of the devil, but not biologically. Jesus called Satan the father of lies and those who opposed Jesus ‘children of the devil’ (John 8:44).

In addition Jesus said that we were mistaken if we thought that marriage would continue in the resurrection (Mark 22:23-30; Luke 10:29-36). He said that we would become like the angels (implying having no capacity nor desire for sexual relations).

The Bible points out that there was only one Seed, the Word of God, Jesus Christ (Luke 8:11; John 7:42; Romans 1:3, 9:7-8). Jesus confirmed that in the parable of the sower and the seed “the seed is the word of God” (Luke 8:11). The Holy Spirit placed the ‘Word’ Himself into the womb of Mary (John 1:1-5). John 1:4 says that in Him was life. In contrast, Satan has no life he can give to others, only delusion and death.

Hebrews Chapter 1 explains that the angels were to be spirits ministering to the care of the redeemed. In their anger and disappointment on hearing this the rebellious fallen angels have since only ministered misery and disaster to mankind. They can influence the emotions and thoughts of people, as did Satan on that fatal day when he entered the heart of Judas to betray Jesus (John 13:2). Apart from Judas Satan also inspired Ananias and Sapphira to lie to the Holy Spirit bringing death upon them (Acts 5:1-11). It is for such reasons that Jesus called Satan a murderer.

When the angel Gabriel came to Mary all that Gabriel could do was to pass on a message. The Father’s Seed was the Word of God (John1:1-4) which had to be implanted into the womb of Mary by the Holy Spirit, the third member of the Godhead (Luke 1:35-37). This was an amazing miracle. Only we were made in the image of God and given the mandate to reproduce human life, triune beings with body, soul and spirit (Genesis 1:26-28; 1 Thessalonians 5:23). Angels don’t and can’t possess that (Luke 24:39). This is why the fallen angels are so jealous and will be excited to torment people in hell (Luke 16:28; Mark 9:44-48).

Even then, it’s up to God to first breathe life into the unborn embryo (Genesis 2:7). The unborn foetus of John the Baptist recognized Jesus in the pregnant Mary by jumping in her cousin Elizabeth’s womb (Luke 1:41). Satan can’t mimic giving life to that which had been created directly out of DUST (Genesis 2:7; Exodus 8:16-19). It is interesting that God gave me the revelation of that seemingly insignificant keyword ‘dust’. Dust became the stumbling block where Pharaoh’s magicians in Egypt, possessed by evil spirits, suddenly recognized the difference between their miraculous occult powers and the finger of God (Exodus 8:6-7; 16-19).

There is absolutely no doubt that fallen angels are exceedingly powerful and can mimic much what God can do (Revelation 13:13, 16:14), but only God can breathe life into bone and flesh (Genesis 2:7; James 1:17; John 20:22). This is precisely why the Lord is called ‘our Father’, as explained on this site. Christians have to accept that by faith. We are a people of faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6). Satan and his underlings father lies and have the power to perform astounding miracles but they will only deceive to turn us from Christ (John 8:44). Have you watched certain magicians on TV and wondered how they do it? Most staged presentations are skilled technical illusions but in the case of a minority of magicians, including capable hypnotists and clairvoyants, it’s going to cost their lives. Unless they repent they shall belong to Satan.

 

ANGELS AND EVIL SPIRITS

Perry Stone posed the interesting question as to why certain groups of angels can freely roam the earth as evil spirits while others have already been chained up long ago (Jude 1:6). He proposes that evil spirits are the released spirits of all the angelic/human hybrids, the giants that have ever died. My guess would be that the angels placed in chains ever since their rebellion would have been too destructive to be let loose on the human race. No one would have survived. Satan is probably only a lesser angel as compared to Abaddon or Apollyon (Revelation 9:11). To test our faith God only allowed us to encounter deceiving angels or those that could cause sicknesses and other disasters, from which we could partially protect ourselves, especially if we turned to God for help.

 

UNFORTUNATE CONSEQUENCES OF PERRY STONE’S VIDEOS - BUT THERE IS HOPE

  1. Perry elevated Satan’s (Lucifer’s) capacity to be equal to the fatherhood of the Lord. This is reminiscent of the five ‘I wills’ of Lucifer, such as 'I will be like the Most High', Isaiah 12:12-14). Satan surely welcomed Perry’s unwitting and magnificent publicity which no doubt would raise Satan’s self-esteem and energize him to even greater heights of deceit and evil against the Lord and His people.

  2. Many have dabbled on the fringes of the occult in the past; I certainly have. Some, in order to gain mystical insights or very real occult powers such as some magicians possess today and have possessed in the past (Pharaoh's magicians and Simon the sorcerer in the book of Acts 8:9-11), have sold their soul to Satan. Others worship Satan as their god. A Christian couple saw a woman on a park bench in Sydney praying. To their astonishment they discovered that she was praying for Satan to destroy Christian marriages. If fallen angels can father children, as Perry convinced hundreds or thousands of his adherents, some Satanists, secretly watching or hearing about it, might fearfully believe that they are biological children of the devil and therefore redemption through Jesus Christ would be an impossibility for them. Satan can thereby eternally imprison his human cohorts already on Earth just like Mafia members find it virtually impossible to extract themselves from the brotherhood even if they want to run away and disappear internationally.
