DNA NEWS THAT VERIFY CREATION
AND CRUCIFY EVOLUTION THEORY

Though recognizing that DNA is God's language in biology, Dr. Collins promotes Darwinian general evolution theory for the slow and gradual departure of mankind and the apes from a common ancestor. Let it be said at the outset that whether one believes in evolution or in the biblical explanation of the creation of man is a matter of faith. Similarities in DNA sequences can be deceiving since God has used certain design features in anatomy and physiology that are common to many species. Why should God re-invent 'the wheel' for each separate kind of creature just to please our intellects? According to His unsearchable wisdom God has given mankind the liberty to choose between evolution and creation on the basis of faith. God makes no apologies for not providing absolute proof. He said that the creation is sufficient evidence for us to believe. Moreover, the apostle Paul said that, because of it, no one will have an excuse when they stand before the judgment seat (Romans 1:20). Choose now between ever changing theories of science and the Word of God.
'But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him'. (Hebrews 11:6)
As I have mentioned below, the swords of truth and scientific facts will help us to make that decision, not the theories of science. The authors of a particular discovery on DNA bar codes (as will be explained below) are struggling as to how their findings may fit in with evolution theory. However, their data are nothing less than a verification that God created all animals, together with man, during days 5-6 as described in the book of Genesis.
In this series of articles on the scientific evidence for creation I have put much emphasis on DNA because I believe that the structure and function of DNA, and the complex phenomenon of the metamorphosis of insects that works like clockwork every time without fail, is undeniable evidence that an intelligent and purposeful god created - the God of the Bible. John C Lennox, Professor of Mathematics at Oxford University and a believer in Christ, has stated in his books that the new generation of atheists are depending on science to banish God from the universe. The 'New Atheists' want to replace God with science. Ironically, the facts of science are one of the weapons in God's arsenal that will finally demolish general evolution theory and all forms of atheism. (I believe in a limited form of evolution that is better explained by the term 'diversity and natural selection)'. In a prophetic action carried out by the young David, son of Jesse, David cut off Goliath's head with Goliath's own sword! (1 Samuel 17:51). Goliath represents the modern atheist and the sword represents science.
Let us now consider important new information that has come to light through a DNA methodology that uses so-called bar codes.
Why did the overwhelming majority of species in existence today emerge at about the same time, ask Mark Stoeckle of Rockefeller University in New York and David Thaler of Basel University in Switzerland?
'EXTENSIVE analysis of DNA barcodes across 100,000 species revealed a telltale sign showing that almost all animals on Earth emerged about the same time as humans'. (AFP News Agency, May 29, 2018. 9:28pm).
This news article should rock evolutionary scientists to the core. Following my list of comments, I shall briefly explain what bar codes are, but for the moment let's think of them as 'DNA footprints' that can change over time within the species. The rate of change in the footprint can be compared with those from other species and one can deduce an approximate time when a species first emerged. Moreover, the bar codes or footprints are distinct for each species or kind of animal. Thus one can compare the emergence of various kinds of animals, if not in absolute terms then certainly in relative terms. Stoeckle and Thaler may yet have to admit that the rates of change have not been constant over eons of time, but were more rapid in the past as my diagram on the lifespans of mankind distinctly demonstrate. Their work would then totally agree that animals were created 11,000 years ago as can be deduced from the Bible (See my 15 articles on the true age of the Earth as supported by looking at the whole of scripture).

The absence of “in-between” species, the missing transitional fossils, is something that also perplexed Darwin, Stoeckle said in their interview.
Creationists have said this all along, but it takes molecular biologists as late as 2018 to admit it. My article headed 'What Darwin Got Right' is saying exactly that and we claimed it back in 1984 in our book 'The Bible and Science', with Jeff Harvey (Hammond), and other creationists said that long before us. Furthermore, the Bible claimed it long ago in Genesis Chapters 1 and 2. Each kind was to multiply after its own kind.

The AFP news article says that there are still some interesting questions at the heart of evolution theory. This is most certainly an understatement. The whole of evolution theory is being questioned. Naturally, committed evolutionists will attempt to rescue their theory.
WHAT ARE BAR CODES?
Geneticists devise useful visuals to demonstrate differences in the sequence of the letters A, T, C and G in a long stretch of DNA. Differences over time are indicative of mutations where the sequence of the four letters have been disturbed. Rather than printing long sequences of letters for one species and comparing it with the sequence obtained for another species, a geneticist proposed that coloured bars be used instead just like on supermarket items as illustrated below. Each colour is for one of the four letters A, T, G, and C in DNA. In 2003, Paul D.N. Hebert from the University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, proposed the establishment of a public library of DNA barcodes for all species. Genetic differences between look-alike species can be readily appreciated. For example, whether a fungal sample is invasive or not cannot be ascertained without doing a biological experiment. Comparing its bar code with a standard will immediately reveal whether its the invasive type or not. Bar codes are much easier on the eye and can be more readily scanned than sequences of letters.
The entire DNA genome of a species may consist of 3 billion letters. For consistency, scientists have chosen a housekeeping gene from mitochondria, the energy powerhouse of every animal species. The gene coding for the protein enzyme cytochrome oxidase I (COI) was chosen because it contains a span of 648 letters (or base pairs, bp) within which mutations do not affect the function of this enzyme, irrespective of the species. Therefore this region of the DNA is widely used and is also used by Stoeckle and Thaler because around 4,500,000 bar codes of this DNA region have been deposited in genebanks for 250,000 species of insects, mammals including humans. The sequence for this region can be quickly determined from samples, such as in the case of rapid identification of the species of snake from a snake bite wound.
Comparisons in bar codes have shown wide disparity between the various kinds of animals verifying that genetic boundaries have existed between different kinds, such as horses, wolves, pigs and hens. At a price of $150, a sample from your dog can be tested for any dingo introgression in its ancestry. https://www.babs.unsw.edu.au/research/dingo-dna-tests Dingoes are only an Australian wild dog brought in long ago by natives crossing over from Asia on land bridges or by canoe. Dingo size depends on the territory they inhabit. They will readily crossbreed with domestic dogs.
Stoeckle and Thaler have published much on this subject. As an example, 'Bridging two scholarly islands enriches both: COI DNA barcodes for species identification versus human mitochondrial variation for the study of migrations and pathologies'. Scientists surveyed the genetic "bar codes" of five million animals - including humans - from 100,000 different species and deduced that we sprang from a single pair of adults after a catastrophic event almost wiped out the human race….These bar codes, or snippets of DNA that reside outside the nuclei of living cells, suggest that it's not just people who came from a single pair of beings, but nine out of every 10 animal species as well. The research was led by Senior Research Associate Mark Stoeckle and Research Associate David Thaler of the University of Basel, Switzerland…..Stoeckle and Thaler concluded that 90 per cent of all animal species alive today come from parents that all began giving birth at roughly the same time, less than 250,000 years ago - throwing into doubt the patterns of human evolution. …"This conclusion is very surprising and I fought against it as hard as I could, " Thaler admitted…' This news report was reported in the Journal 'Human Evolution'. The two humans would have been Noah and his wife, but much more recently than that claimed by the scientists. According to Creation Ministries International (Creation.com) the Biblical data places the Flood at 2304 BC ± 11 years.
