E. PSALM 90:4 AND 2 PETER 3:8
Both of these scriptures spell out clearly that, from where the Lord looks at it in heaven, one day to Him is a thousand years on Earth:
1000 years for a day,
‘For to you a thousand years are no more than yesterday when it is past, and like a watch in the night’ (Psalms 90:4).
1000 years for a day,
‘But, my loved ones keep in mind this one thing that with the Lord one day is the same as a thousand years, and a thousand years are no more than one day’ (2 Peter 3:8).
I have already said that Jesus Himself prophetically verified that for Him 1 day = 1000 years (Luke 13:32). And He said to them, "Go, tell that fox, 'Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow (2000-yr church age), and the third day (Millenium) I shall be perfected' (Luke13:32).
THREE IN SCRIPTURE SIGNIFIES A PERFECT WITNESS
Why should the apostle stress so strongly in 2 Peter 3:8, ‘Do not be ignorant of this one thing’! Shall we ignore Peter's warning, as most Jews wilfully ignore the 'Trinity', despite it being clearly evident in the Torah and Old Testament books (The Tanakh)? How long shall we dare to dismiss Peter's exhortation?
The above Scriptures highlight that, in heaven, God uses a different timescale. There is a time in heaven and there is a time on Earth. When God speaks from His temple He uses temple language and ‘temple time’, not Earth time. For example, when Revelation 8:1 declares that there was silence in heaven for half an hour the emphasis we need to take note of is that this period of time refers to an event in heaven, not on Earth.
If you wish to contest the principle and insist that time runs at the same rate everywhere then argue with Albert Einstein. Einstein discovered that even in this universe time is relative and depends on location. Atomic clocks, at the top of a building, in a satellite or on top of a mountain, run faster than at sea level. God bound Himself to His own covenant that man should die the same day he disobeyed. As shown in Article 1 not a single person lived long enough to reach full maturity in one of God's days.
F. THE MILLENIUM
1000 years for a day,
‘But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. The second death has no authority over these, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him a thousand years. And, when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be loosed out of his prison’ (Revelation 20:5-7).
‘For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. So then there remains a rest to the people of God. For he who has entered into his rest, he also has ceased from his own works as God did from His’ (Hebrews 4:8-10).
During the Millenium only the redeemed are alive. This allows God to rest. It's the 7th day of rest in the Redemptive Week. In contrast to HA Sevener's 1996 book issued by 'Chosen People Ministries' a non-profit Messianic Jewish organization, there can be no sin or death during the 1000-year Millennium (no further blood sacrifice is acceptable to God during His day of rest). This period is a 1000-year day of rest, restoring Adam and Eve and all their resurrected godly descendants. It is proof that God has reversed or annulled His curse (to die in the same day) upon godly mankind for having eaten of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Satan will turn 'green' with envy! Those who participate in the first resurrection live in the presence of Jesus Christ and reign on this planet with Christ for 1000 years (before God creates the new heaven and Earth). They shall all have indestructible and eternal resurrection bodies.
‘Compare particularly Revelation 21:1-2 with 2 Peter 3:8-13 and it becomes obvious that the day that sees (encompasses) the Second Coming of Jesus and the arrival of the new heaven, and the new earth is a 1000-year day. It begins with the coming of Jesus and ends with the disintegration of the present earth and heaven, and is replaced by the new!! This firmly establishes the basis of understanding that God’s days are 1000 years duration’ (Quoted from The Bible and Science, p80, Jeff Harvey/Hammond and Charles Pallaghy, Acacia Press, Blackburn, 1985).
G. THE FALL OF ANGELS
This took a long time, either during The Creation itself or during the ‘days’ of bliss that Adam and Eve enjoyed ('bliss' refers to the unknown number of 'God's days' that Adam and Eve spent in the Garden of Eden, after the 7th day of rest, before they sinned). We are not told for how many days Adam and Eve lived before they sinned. However, it can be deduced from Scripture.
In Genesis 1 and 2 God created the ‘heaven’. In the Hebrew text heaven is given in the dual form, 'heavens'. About half the translations correctly say ‘heavens’. Since this was the beginning of God’s creation 'the heavens' includes the abode of the created angels.
As mentioned, we are not told how long after day 7 of the Creative Week Satan tempted Eve. Satan was already in God's bad book before he tempted Eve, ‘And those angels not having kept their first place, but having deserted their dwelling-place, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of a great Day’ (Jude 1:6). As you will gather from the whole of the Bible some of the fallen angels are bound in chains destined to be released only in the end-times (Revelation Chapter 9) while others, including Satan Himself, are free to roam the Earth at the present time. There is an order and hierarchy in the angelic realm.
After this magnificent archangel was created, who is also called Lucifer because of his brightness and glory, Satan had a fixation admiring himself - originally he led worship and was given authority over lesser angels, which must have given him great joy and pride. Not being a robot and capable of emotions he unfortunately was overcome by his own beauty and other endowments. He became proud and refused correction - which became also the hallmark of Cain who killed his righteous brother. He became jealous not only of Adam and Eve, but even of God Himself. Adam and Eve had physical bodies, he didn't. Satan is a 'naked spirit' and once he rebelled there was no redemption for him. Satan can 'enter' people and motivate them to do things as he did with Judas the betrayer - but only if people let him in because of their rebellious state.
Lowly Adam and Eve, as he found out to his dismay, were the crowning glory of God’s creation. Horror of horrors, God was going to process them whilst still in their flesh into His own image (Genesis 1:26), into the fullness of the stature of Christ (Ephesians 4:13). He thought how could God overlook him when he was so beautiful and mighty? It’s he, not Adam and Eve that deserved special status.
Lucifer/Satan used to be an angel of light, which is why the enzyme that allows glow worms to glow is called luciferase. But, just like the worms whose larvae glow to ensnare tiny insects, Lucifer clothes himself as a minister of light to enslave naive Christians (2 Corinthians 11:14).
The devil became furious when he discovered the real reason for his existence. It was to serve God and minister to mankind. I wasn’t about him after all. According to Isaiah Chapter 14 and Ezekiel 28:12-18, Satan or Lucifer had a long history of self-service, which much displeased God. He was already long fallen from God’s favour and filled with clever deceit before he tempted Eve. Logically, it means that a long period of time had passed in the interval between the creation of Eve and her temptation (See Article 5).
Satan's intention is to destroy us for two reasons:
1. Out of jealousy. He is very patient and throws out lures to trap us.
2. He knows that it is the seed of the woman who will crush him and cast him out of heaven (Genesis 3:15; Revelations Chapter 12). Jesus, the one Seed, has already won the victory, but He will use the church, His seed, to bring forth the devil's ultimate downfall. This phase of Christ's victory still has to be walked out in the time of the end. Have you noticed in Scripture that God always uses people of faith to physically bring about God's purposes? It is only on rare occasions that God does it sovereignly.
H. LET'S PROCEED FURTHER. THERE IS MUCH MORE
The numbered days in Genesis Chapter 1 were unmistakably 1000-year periods of time. The creation took 6000 years hence our name creation6000.com. How long Adam and Eve lived before the Fall we are not told directly although it can be deduced. An important factor to remember is that death and aging, and counting of days and years only became a reality for mankind after the Fall.
Having been evicted from the Garden of Eden all of nature now presented severe challenges to Adam and Eve. Adam would have to toil in the fields and would bleed from accidental bruises and cuts. Death, fighting and competition, in other words survival of the fittest and natural selection, would be the tale of mankind and nature. Why? God said in Genesis 3:17 that He did it for our sake presumably so that we would call on the name of the Lord and repent. Even though God shed blood on their behalf to cover their sin and kept a watchful eye over the righteous (Genesis 3:21) the curse still had to be worked out until the end of world history.
‘The ground is cursed for your sake. In pain shall you eat of it all the days of your life. It shall also bring forth thorns and thistles to you and you shall eat the herb of the field’ (Genesis 3:17-18). Mankind was not to eat meat until the days of Noah.
It was customary for Jesus to rebuke those who were slow to believe. For example, on the road to Emmaus, Jesus explained that the Old Testament was all about Himself, His death and His resurrection (‘Foolish and slow to believe!’)
The Jews are slow to believe that there are three in the Godhead! King David knew that there were numerically more than one in the ONE Yahweh GOD. Jesus used David’s Psalm to prove that the Father has a Son (Mark 12:36, For David himself said by the Holy Spirit: "The LORD said to my Lord, sit at My right hand until I place Your enemies as Your footstool"; Also in Luke 20:42, Acts 2:34). The Jews who praise King David, and praise Jerusalem the city of David, were familiar with Psalm 110:1 and should have known that God is more than one. They just never imagined that three persons could be so much one that it could be said ‘Hear, O, Israel: Jehovah our God is one Jehovah’ (Deuteronomy 6:4). They allowed their imagination and concepts to overrule the written Word. That is exactly what creationists have also done regarding the days of creation. It's time to take sunglasses off!
The Hebrews were blinded to the Trinity!

Sadly, it is true! The Trinity stared Jews in the face and 1000-yr days have stared Christians in the face! All is plainly in the word, even in the first two chapters of Genesis, but there is much more to come in Articles 2-5. I. REJOICING IN GOD
